Seeking Nominations for ILA/ACRL Offices

Several hands in many colors raisedHello Iowa academic librarians,

As we look forward to another academic year, please take a moment to nominate (or self-nominate) candidates for the following elected positions in the Iowa chapter of ACRL.

Vice-President/President-Elect:  This is a three-year commitment.  VP term begins January 2025, Presidential term begins in January 2026, and Past President term begins in  January 2027.  The VP also serves as the chair of the membership committee.

Secretary/Treasurer: This is a two-year commitment that would run from January 2025 – December 2026.  Attend ACRL executive board meetings (held virtually), take minutes and serve as treasurer.

Member at Large: This is a two-year commitment that would run from January 2025-December 2026.  Attend ACRL executive board meetings (held virtually) and serve as the voice for those institutions that are not directly represented on the executive board.

We also have several committee seats to fill in 2025.  Most of these are two-year commitments. You’ll see places to indicate your interest in committees on the same volunteer form.  These seats are appointed rather than elected.

Nominate early and often!  You can’t vote that way, but you can nominate that way. On behalf of the membership committee, we thank you for your input so that we can keep ILA/ACRL active, vital, and engaged!

More information about the organization can be found on the ILA/ACRL Website.
